Avanta Press Awards 2009
Run in conjunction with the Fabian Society and Avanta, these awards recognise journalistic excellence in promoting the employment and skills debate in the media. Chosen as a finalist for my work in the Guardian, I was rather boggled to be listed alongside editors from the Financial Times, Independent and Telegraph. Being placed amongst such illustrious names didn’t half make up for my not going home with a win, I can tell you.
