All about me

cath_blu

I’m an award winning freelance feature writer, columnist and editor specialising in workplace, career and employment issues and human interest stories. Look at this site and you’ll find copy written with the sparkle that makes it a must-read. That’s because there’s no end to the questions I’ll ask to get to the heart of an issue.

A regular contributor to broadsheets, magazines and websites, clients include The Times, for which I currently write a column, the Guardian, BBC, Pay magazine, BMJ, Press Gazette OS magazine, Executary News and www.deskdemon.com through to Corporate Wales and Visit Wales publications Quality Wales, Adventure Wales and Walking Wales.

And if that’s not enough I have unladylike amounts of determination, am dogged about pristine copy and am a stickler for deadlines. Commission me and you’ll get more than you bargained for long before you expected to see it.

Gritty
For features that challenge stereotypes and reveal the unique in the ordinary. Readers’ comments include, “What a brave piece of work. I’ll remember your name,” and “You stop me in my tracks.”

Witty
For honest and funny takes on life in the 21st century. Readers claim, “I was choking on snot and crying with laughter. Fantastic writing!” and “I laughed so hard that mashed potato came out of my nose.”

Feisty
For facing the facts and pushing the boundaries on issues that no one else will dare. The readers say, “Thank God someone will talk about the taboos,” and “At last, a chance to read the real story.”
